President Obama Signs Executive Order for Feds to Cut Emissions

According to Telework Exchange

On Tuesday, President Obama signed an Executive Order requiring the Federal government to cut their greenhouse gas emissions by 13 percent by 2020.  The order specifically details reducing gas emissions from indirect sources including business travel and employee commutes.

The order comes after the House passed telework legislation last week.  Telework Exchange research shows that if all Federal employees who are eligible to telework full time were to do so, Feds could realize $13.9 billion savings in commuting costs annually and eliminate 21.5 billion pounds of pollutants out of the environment each year.
